She's a little surprised that he's not talking--his message hadn't mentioned his actual curse, just that he needed help--but she assumes that it's part of the enchantment somehow. She offers him the mirror, along with parchment, quills, and ink. "I don't suppose a simple finite would do the trick?" she asks. She doubts it. Complicated enchantments usually involve complicated countercurses.
