I am grateful to all of you for the resilience and strength you've shown during the harrowing events of the last few days. I will be insistent on two matters: rest, and proper care of oneself.

After reviewing the hull and lower decks of Terror I have determined her to be sturdy enough to continue to inhabit. Our supplies were not damaged in the attack, and the ship is managing to generate heat.

III.

I am formally requesting information on the state of Terror's cabins. Please notify either myself or Mr. Jopson if your cabin needs extensive repairs, or if it is livable with room to spare for shared bunking.

IV.

The stores of spirits will remain accessible to all passengers, including 20 bottles of fine whiskey.

The armory will also remain accessible, but weapons will be cataloged daily.

There will be a public meeting to discuss best course of action should the creature return to us. I personally implore all passengers to attend. More information will be forthcoming.

((Crozier's just doing some bidness so everyone else can relax and drink some hooch for a change. Please free to assume your characters spoke to Crozier about repairing their cabins.))

Perhaps you should just tell me the situation, Captain. I'd rather have to hear the same story twice than miss any important details.

There is a creature out in the ice that stalks those of us on Terror with the intent to harm us. It resembles an enormous, white bear, and the Netsilik people of this region call it the tuunbaq - which is an approximation of the actual Inuktitut word for the creature, if you care about semantics.

Our ships, Terror and Erebus, came to this land searching for a trade passage. Our ships were frozen in place and one of my men inadvertently killed the creature's shaman during a search for leads through the ice. The tuunbaq has been seeking revenge on us ever since that day.

I see. Thank you for taking the time to explain that. Mr. Strange also explained the theory that this is a dream, but a very realistic one. I'm prepared to help in any way, like I said, and I'll speak with him. In the meantime, if there is anything I can do to help, let me know. My magic isn't his, but they are similar. I'm more familiar with the dead and spirits, but I don't know how useful that is here.

What do you mean, you're more familiar with the dead and spirits? Can you explain?

I take things that are dead and have been resurrected and put them back in death. Mr. Strange explained that death works differently here, but I can still feel the barrier between life and death.

Death does still exist, but it takes a more temporary form.

The ship itself is home to men who have died outside of the dream.

I can sense that, Captain. I want to assure you that I don't intend to interfere in anything here, unless something threatens you or your people.

In that case we can speak more of the tuunbaq at a later date.
